The InnoPath iMDM Device Suite is a standards-based client solution that makes any mobile device MDM-ready. InnoPath iMDM devices are interoperable with InnoPath’s iMDM Carrier Suite, as well as any other standards-based MDM server. MDM permits OEMs to:

  • Achieve faster time-to-market with new devices
  • Prevent costly and disruptive device recalls
  • Reduce customer service and warranty costs
  • Improve brand loyalty and customer satisfaction

InnoPath offers both a server and client solution, which when deployed together, results in an end-to-end life cycle solution for mobile device management. Deployment is fast and cost effective because no additional integration is required to make the client/server solution work smoothly.

The company provides ease of integration for OEMs through a comprehensive set of porting tools, support & IOT services, rigorous end-to-end testing, and development servers.

The client has been deployed on over 100 million handsets spanning over 175 unique devices from leading OEMs including Samsung, LG, NEC, Sanyo, Sharp, Toshiba, Pantech & Curitel, KTFK, SKY, Kyocera, Sony Ericsson, and Casio Hitachi Mobile. It supports major OS platforms including the multiple versions of RTOSs found on feature phones as well as Linux, Symbian, BREW, and Windows Mobile.

Configuration and Diagnostics Management
  • An engine capable of sending data from the handset to the server for analysis as well as changing the configuration settings of the handset
  • Data is delivered over the air (OTA) and can be sent to a single or fleet of devices
  • Commonly used to provision applications and services as well as the device itself and diagnose problems
  • Diagnostics is generally managed within two categories; Configuration and Event Diagnostics
Configuration:
  • Enable OEMs to sell more devices by enabling easy support of services
  • Enable OEMs to provide a better user experience by helping users to avoid manually managing their own application and service settings
  • Protecting customer information by providing a secure method of sending valuable user and device data
  • Carriers have the flexibility to enable and disable features and services as needed
  • Reduce customer support and activation costs

Diagnostics:

  • Enable OEMs to provide a better user experience by enabling the carrier to quickly and easily resolve configuration and service issues
  • Carriers can reduce CSR call handling times by resolving issues faster
  • User privacy is always protected through regulatory and privacy policy enforcement (limiting liability)
  • Reduced support costs through automated (or manual) retrieval of handset data

Diagnostics Manager:

  • Client/Server Authentication
  • Policy Download
  • Updates New Policies and Logs Results
  • Sends Reports to Server
  • Data/Pipe Encryption
  • Update Any Portion of the DM Tree
  • Server Agnostic

Configuration Diagnostics:

  • Gathering data for in real time repairing a subscriber’s handset

Diagnostic Event Monitoring:

  • Can log complex errors and events and upload to the InnoPath server
Security Management
  • A powerful engine capable of protecting a wide variety of user data for both enterprise and feature phones
  • Capable of locking and wiping data across the device and providing a large number of additional security functions (e.g. alarms and battery drain)
  • Supports both OEM and Carrier security initiatives
  • Built around OMA standards (OMA DM)
  • Protect valuable user data with a carrier/enterprise grade security engine
  • OEMs enable a positive consumer product experience by enabling protection around user data
  • Carriers create stickiness by protecting user data during their hour of need
  • Strong Authentication With Server
  • Lock
  • Wipe
  • Alarms & Other Key Features
  • Controlled Using DM Tree
  • Remove/Disable at Build and Runtime
  • 911 Override
Software and UI Management
  • A powerful engine designed to manage the software and UI load on the device
  • Users and Carriers can easily push and pull applications to and from the device while adhering to licensing requirements
  • Enables the user to memory manage their device
  • Applications can be configured following their introduction to the device
  • Built around OMA standards (OMA DM, SCOMO)
  • Creates a “PC-like” experience on a mobile device
  • OEMs can easily add applications to a device after shipment
  • OEMs create stickiness to their devices by improving ease of use around application deployment
  • Carriers can create additional points of sale to increase ARPU
  • UIs can be sold to drive ARPU
  • OEMs can crease additional UIs to sell after the handset ships (Additional Revenue)
  • Strong Authentication With Server
  • Enforce license restrictions and carrier application policies
  • Portal, Device and Carrier driven software management
  • Deploy additional user experiences independent of device architecture
  • Downloaded applications can be configured using the configuration manager coupled with the software manager
  • Applications and User Experiences can be moved on and off the device repeatedly
