The iMDM Advantage - Backup & Restore is part of InnoPath’s Integrated Mobile Device Management Security Suite. The iMDM Security Suite allows network operators to manage Backup & Restore over the entire lifecycle, from installation, activation, configuration and update to eventual deactivation and removal of the client from the handset. The operator can define automated backup schedules as well as remotely trigger manual backup or restore jobs from the server. Personal data, such as subscriber contacts, SMS and MMS messages, email, and pictures are all protected.

Lock & Wipe Synergy - InnoPath’s Integrated Mobile Device Management Lock & Wipe capabilities are enhanced by Backup & Restore. With the ability to Lock, Backup, Wipe and Restore, a lost or stolen phone can be locked, then backed up. Once backed up, it is safe to wipe the phone, insuring that the data on the device not fall into the wrong hands. Later, if the phone is found or the subscriber buys a replacement, the backed up data can be restored.

Easier Upgrades - Subscribers can upgrade their hardware and the network operator can populate the new handset with their backed up contacts, personal pictures, messages and email from their old phone. This allows for easy upgrades in the field - personal data can be migrated from an old phone to a new one without the need to visit a carrier retail outlet or have the process performed manually by a customer service representative.

Added Workflow Security - Using the iMDM Workflow Manager, backup can be integrated into complex mobile device management operations, backing up the device before a major configuration change, software install or firmware update is performed.
