SUNNYVALE, CA — January
16, 2007 — InnoPath Software,
Inc., the industry leader in Integrated
Mobile Device Management (iMDM), has been
selected by the GSM association as a Global
Mobile Awards nominee for 2007 in the category
of Best Network Quality Initiative. This
nomination acknowledges the critical role
that Mobile Device Management plays in
guaranteeing a positive subscriber experience. The
actual awards, to be presented at the upcoming
3GSM show in Barcelona, are considered
to be the premier recognition for products
and services in the mobility world.
Rob Conway, GSM Association
CEO, said: “After
twelve years, the standard and support for
these Awards continues to rise, once again
exceeding our expectations and reflecting
the ability of the mobile and entertainment
industries to not only impress but to genuinely
surprise. The nominated entrants have survived
the scrutiny of some of the industry’s
most discerning experts and truly earned
their place in this year’s exceptionally
strong field of compelling products, initiatives
and solutions.”
In the increasingly competitive
mobile marketplace, if the quality of service
delivered to customers is not maintained
at high levels, customer satisfaction will
fall resulting in lost customers due to
churn. The Best Network
Quality Initiative award recognizes the contribution
that operators make to maintain high levels
of performance, as well as the contribution
from infrastructure suppliers and other specialist
organizations that are focused on delivering
quality to the end user. MDM plays
a crucial role in enabling this high level
of service, eliminating the services gap
between the subscriber and the operator,
resulting in lower OPEX, increased data revenue,
and an enhanced user experience.
“Operators must insure service
quality through effective lifecycle management
and control of devices once deployed,” said
John Fazio, president and CEO of InnoPath. “We
are honored that the GSM Association has
acknowledged the critical role that MDM plays
in this process as well as InnoPath as a
pioneer in making MDM a reality.”
InnoPath was recently
recognized by leading research firm IDC
as one of ten emerging mobile vendors to
watch for in 2007. The
company will be demonstrating its complete
iMDM server and device suite at the upcoming
3GSM show, including two new capabilities
critical to continued data revenue growth,
Software and Workflow Management. In
addition, the company will be hosting at
its booth a series of technical tutorials
covering software management and user interface
customization, workflow management and rules
engine integration, and the evolution of
Open Mobile Alliance – Device Management
(OMA-DM) standards.
