SUNNYVALE, CA — FEBRUARY
6, 2006 — InnoPath Software, Inc., the
industry leader in Mobile Device Management
(MDM) integrated solutions, today announced
the expansion of its Interoperability
Testing (IOT) Service Program with the
addition of a new facility at its U.S.
headquarters. The company’s industry
leading IOT program combines existing
services with complementary services
acquired as part of its acquisition of
Openwave’s Device Management technology.
InnoPath also announced it has certified
more than 100 mobile handset models on
its MDM solutions from leading manufacturers
worldwide including Alcatel, LG, Motorola,
Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung and Siemens.
The IOT program is designed to deliver
broad industry interoperability certification
for the company’s new iMDM Solution
Suites (see related announcement). As part
of the IOT program, InnoPath test handsets
from leading worldwide manufacturers on
multiple versions of its commercially deployed
servers, demonstrating ‘real life’ conformance
to standards set by industry bodies such
as the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA).
Device manufacturers use the IOT program
to test early release samples of mobile
phones against a series of interoperability
and configuration tests with InnoPath’s
iMDM Integrated Solutions. With multiple
test locations in the U.S., Japan and China
and round the clock’ online access
to InnoPath’s testing servers, handset
manufacturers obtain quick feedback on
the compliance of their handsets against
commercially deployed InnoPath servers
prior to formal lab testing with carriers.
The benefit to operators is a wide set
of ’pre-tested’ mobile phones
that can be rapidly deployed on their network.
“Time to market is a critical element
of success for device manufacturers and
mobile operators deploying new data services,” said
John Fazio, president and CEO of InnoPath
Software. “The expansion of our industry
leading interoperability program ensures
the highest standards of quality and interoperability
for the integrated MDM solutions on which
leading carriers and handset manufacturers
rely.”
InnoPath’s integrated iMDM Solution
Suites are the industry’s most complete
standards based mobile device management
offerings available, supporting applications
such as firmware over-the-air (FOTA), configuration,
and diagnostics management. InnoPath recently
participated in the two OMA Test Fests,
held in Korea and Germany, where the company
successfully demonstrated interoperability
between its comprehensive OMA DM server
and clients from multiple major vendors.
InnoPath will demonstrate its new iMDM
Solution Suites at the 3GSM World Congress
event in Barcelona, Spain from February
13-16, 2006, Booth D95, Hall 1. Additionally,
Uday Nagendran, InnoPath vice president,
will participate on the “Ensuring
the Development of Strong Service Delivery
Architecture” panel on Wednesday,
February 15th at noon.
