the industry leader in over-the-air
(OTA) mobile device management,
today announced successful participation
in the latest round of interoperability
testing at the Open Mobile Alliance
(OMA) Test Fest held September
12-16, 2005 in Seoul, Korea.
InnoPath successfully demonstrated
interoperability between the
InnoPath OMA DM server and clients
from multiple major vendors.
InnoPath’s Mobile Device
Management (MDM) solution is one
of the most complete offerings
of mobile device management tools
available today supporting applications
such as Firmware over-the-air (FOTA),
Configuration Management, Diagnostics
Management and Feature Upgrade.
InnoPath’s standards based
MDM solution provides a more powerful,
flexible, comprehensive and interoperable
platform, allowing InnoPath to
respond even more quickly to requests
for support of MDM applications
and services.
InnoPath's OMA-DM server supports
industry standard over-the-air
device management and firmware
updates across the many devices
that employ protocols based on
the OMA Device Management version
1.1.2 Enabler. In this latest round
of interoperability testing InnoPath
not only tested successfully against
all mandatory test cases, but also
all optional test cases as well.
InnoPath is completing support
for the OMA-DM 1.2 Enabler and
will participate in future OMA
Test Fests to ensure interoperability
between the InnoPath client and
server and OMA-DM 1.2 clients and
servers from other vendors.
“As a long time member of OMA and a strong proponent of standards, InnoPath
is committed to interoperability testing,” said Dr. Luosheng Peng, InnoPath's
chief technology officer, co-founder and chairman. “Our successful completion
of the OMA-DM interoperability tests and participation in the OMA standardization
process underlines InnoPath’s commitment to open standards.” “OMA's
Test Fests are designed to allow OMA to produce better specifications and to
help member companies develop and deploy fully interoperable products and service,” said
Howard Greenwell, director of interoperability programs at OMA. “Thereby
accelerating the end user adoption and growing the market for the entire mobile
industry.”
