Casio Hitachi Mobile Communications Co., Ltd. Licenses InnoPath's Proven DeltaUpgrade PlusT for Over-The-Air Mobile Device Management

Casio Hitachi Mobile Communications Co., Ltd's Handsets will Feature InnoPath's Firmware Over-the-Air Device Management Solution for Fast and Efficient Handset Updates

San Jose, CA — October 3, 2005 —InnoPath Software, Inc. (formerly DoOnGo Technologies), the industry leader in over-the-air (OTA) mobile device management, today announced that Casio Hitachi Mobile Communications Co., Ltd. (CHMC), a leading supplier of mobile communications solutions, will deploy DeltaUpgrade Plus—InnoPath’s firmware over-the-air (FOTA) update solution for mobile device management—to manage and send firmware updates to CHMC handsets. The two companies have signed a global agreement which will provide CHMC with the firmware update solution it needs to securely manage on-device firmware over-the-air, enabling cost-effective delivery of the most advanced features and functionalities to end-users’ mobile handsets.

With the increasing importance of mobile data services and the corresponding increase in mobile phone complexity, the ability to remotely manage and update mobile devices is of growing importance. InnoPath’s comprehensive mobile device management solution enables both increased revenues, through faster time to market and higher utilization of data services; and allows handset manufacturers to provide an unmatched user experience to customers through faster updates and better personalization options.

“As the first company to deploy FOTA update technology for device management, InnoPath’s DeltaUpgrade Plus solution improves the end-user experience and enables feature enhancements to be delivered as soon as they become available,” said John Fazio, president and CEO of InnoPath. “CHMC can reduce customer service and warranty costs while improving brand loyalty and customer satisfaction. This deployment with CHMC is another success story for InnoPath as we continue to broaden our market reach.”

Leading operators and handset manufacturers have selected InnoPath’s update-ready technology as the preferred carrier grade device management solution. InnoPath is first OTA device management company to actively update handset firmware in commercial deployments, and helped bring the first commercialized OTA-capable mobile phones to market. Today, millions of handsets have been updated in the hands of subscribers with device management technology provided by InnoPath.
