SAN JOSE, Calif. - December
6, 2004 - InnoPath
Software, Inc. (formerly DoOnGo
Technologies), the industry
leader in over-the-air (OTA)
mobile device software management,
today announced that the company
has partnered with WDSGlobal
to integrate InnoPath's DeltaUpgrade
Plus™ solution into WDSGlobal's
Integrated Service Framework.
By combining the solutions,
wireless operators and handset
manufacturers will benefit
from additional capabilities,
including the ability to easily
configure user settings and
efficiently update handset
software over-the-air using
a common platform.
Wireless operators and handset
manufacturers could now utilize
OTA technology to better manage
provisioning and configuration,
and software updates. In addition
to meeting the needs of customers
through faster software updates,
the companies' joint offering
will provide wireless operators
a way to increase revenue opportunities,
lower customer support costs
and improve subscriber satisfaction
and loyalty. The partnership
will also enable handset manufacturers
to introduce new handsets to
the market more quickly, reduce
warranty costs, and help prevent
expensive recalls.
The companies will work together
to enable the system interoperability
of OTA-enabled mobile devices,
ensuring that mobile phones remain
in compliance with the latest
device parameters and software
configurations.
"The need to rapidly bring new
handsets, features and capabilities
to market is critical to our
customers. The OTA software update
service provided by InnoPath
provides a valuable compliment
to our popular Service Framework
Configuration platform, strengthening
our ability to assist wireless
operators with the challenges
they face when taking new products
to market," said David Foulkes-Jones,
CEO, WDSGlobal. "We are pleased
to be working closely with InnoPath
to deliver a combined service
offering, that delivers significant
complimentary value to the clients
of both companies."
"Working with WDSGlobal, we
are expanding the capabilities
of our proven OTA update-ready
solution to provide wireless
operators a complete solution
to configure user settings and
update handsets over-the-air," said
Luosheng Peng, chairman and CEO,
InnoPath Software. "With this
joint solution, wireless operators
can resolve software faults in
manufactured handsets, even after
being deployed in the market
as well as deliver more personalized
services, more quickly and efficiently,
offering subscribers a better
user experience."
