InnoPath Announces Dedicated Team for OMA Standards

Company Demonstrates Leadership in Enabling Interoperability for Handset Users

SAN JOSE, Calif. - October 13, 2004 - InnoPath Software (formerly DoOnGo Technologies), the industry leader in over-the-air (OTA) mobile device management, today announced it is dedicating a team to oversee its work with the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) standards initiatives. Tom London, InnoPath's Vice President of Research and Development along with Greg Buzzard, Director, Systems Architecture, will lead the company's efforts to develop and deliver early-to-market, OMA compliant solutions.

Buzzard is uniquely qualified to manage the company's standards initiatives. Prior to InnoPath, he worked at industry-leading technology companies including SUN Microsystems, BEA Systems and AT&T, contributing to the development of technologies that leveraged standards such as Web services, XML and SOAP, and 802.11 and Bluetooth networking.

InnoPath has been an early supporter of OMA and is a full member of OMA Device Management Working Group. InnoPath's proactive steps and leadership role in enabling interoperability will allow wireless operators and handset manufacturers to offer consumers a significantly enriched user experience. As part of its OMA standards initiatives, a global wireless operator is conducting an ongoing trial of InnoPath's update-ready device management solution.

"InnoPath is committed to providing its customers with the most open framework for delivering advanced mobile data services," said Dr. Luosheng Peng, CEO and co-founder of InnoPath. "We believe OMA standards will enable us to develop and deliver OMA-compliant OTA capabilities for the fastest and most efficient, update-ready software updates for mobile handsets."

OMA is currently in the process of reviewing proposed technical specifications for interoperable mobile application and service frameworks, which are expected to be agreed upon over the next few months. The agreement of technical specification standards will enable deployment of rich mobile applications and services that are interoperable across devices, geographies, service providers, operators and networks -- removing barriers to global adoption and use.
